Keb’ Mo’, Robert Randolph, Tanya Tucker and More to Play AmericanaFest 2019

The 20th edition of the AmericanaFest will spread its wings across the Music City Sept. 10-15, with scores of artists playing at venues all across Nashville. Following the May 14 announcement of the Americana Honors and Awards nominees, the festival made its first round of lineup announcements Thursday, featuring Nashville resident and Delta blues virtuoso Keb' Mo', sacred steel funkster Robert Randolph, jammy bluegrassers (or bluegrassy jammers) The Travelin' McCourys, and country legend Tanya Tucker (who's been in the studio with Honors and Awards nominee Brandi Carlile and Shooter Jennings, working on her first new material since 2002).

Other acts worth making time for include alt-country faves American Aquarium, local R&B voice Alanna Royale, reigning International Bluegrass Music Association Guitar Player of the Year Molly Tuttle, and Kelsey Waldon, fresh off her new deal with John Prine's Oh Boy Records. Also Corb Lund, the most Canadiana artist to ever play AmericanaFest, or indeed anywhere.

As always, the AmericanaFest folks will keep updating the artist roster as the summer wears on (and they've promised more than 175 additional entries). In the meantime, $90 festival wristbands are on sale now. Take a look at the full initial lineup below.
