Editorial Intern

​

Roots Magazine is currently seeking editorial interns to work remotely. Though internships are unpaid, interns will gain valuable hands on experience working with Roots Magazine.

​

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

​

-Research news for website content (upcoming tours, artist announcements, etc.)
-Edit articles for online and print in Roots Magazine

Must be able to commit to a 2-3 day work week.

College credit is granted where applicable.

Marketing Intern

​

Roots Magazine is currently seeking marketing interns to work remotely. The internship program is unpaid (college credit available), but offers students or other the chance to learn and gain valuable hands on experience in a fast-paced and exciting office.  We are looking for reliable, driven music fans who have a desire to work hard and take initiative on tasks/projects as well collaborate with others.

Requirements:
- 2-3 days per work week.
- Nights and Weekends off.
- Passion for music and actively pursuing a career in the music industry
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask efficiently and work under deadlines
- Organized, detail oriented
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products
- Prior knowledge of bands, brands, and events a plus!

Sales Position

​

Roots Magazine is looking for motivated sales people to dive into our already impressive sales team. Must be able to work remotely as no relocation is necessary. Sales positions earn high commission rates as compensation.

Requirements:

- 3 - 4 days per work week.

- Nights and Weekends off.

- Passion for music and actively pursuing a career in the music industry

- Excellent written and oral communication skills

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

- Must have a good "GIFT OF GAB"

- Ability to multitask efficiently and work under deadlines

- Organized, detail oriented

- Proficient in Microsoft Office products

- Prior knowledge of bands, brands, and events a plus!
