Tickets are on sale for the inaugural 895 Fest, a two-day Americana musical festival hosted by MTSU’s WMOT Roots Radio.
The event will be held the weekend of May 31 at the new 80-acre Hop Springs Beer Park in Murfreesboro.
Rodney Crowell, Lee Roy Parnell, Mandy Barnett and Sarah Potenza will be among the featured artists.
The event celebrates WMOT Roots Radio, the listener-supported public radio station that turns 50 years old this year. Also confirmed are Mike Farris, Liz Brasher, Steve Poltz and JasonRingenberg. The lineup reflects WMOT’s “Americana Deep & Wide” format that’s been enthusiastically received by listeners.The festival will start on Friday, May 31, with live music from 6-11 p.m.
Performances will continue on Saturday, June 1 from 11 a.m. until 11 p.m. All 18 artists will be broadcast over WMOT 89.5 FM and WMOT.org and video-streamed at the NPR Music network, VuHaus.com.Tickets for 895 Fest, sold exclusively as a two-day package, are on sale at Eventbrite.
WMOT members receive a special all-access rate of $65. General admission tickets are $120, and non-members have the option of purchasing a discounted 895 Fest ticket for $100 ($35 toward a tax-deductible, one-year, non-renewing WMOT membership).
“895 Fest will amplify our mission of building community, promoting music discovery, and producing live music experiences with celebrated artists and music lovers,” WMOT executive director Val Hoeppner said.
