Kiefer Sutherland and band set to rock up at Americana music festival

The headliners for this summer's Black Deer music festival have been announced and it includes a familiar face you may recognise from the television.

Global superstar Kiefer Sutherland , best known for playing Jack Bauer in the Fox television series 24 , will be bringing his band and music to the stage at Eridge Park in Tunbridge Wells.

Playing alongside him at the new Americana and Country festival will be Ashley Campbell, the youngest daughter of legendary country artist Glenn Campbell, and star of TV show Nashville Sam Palladio, who is no stranger to Kent as he studied music there.

Golden Globe award winner and two-time award winner Sutherland’s journey in the music industry started after a collaboration with a friend ended in the release of his 2016 album Down In A Hole.

The album tracks come from his personal experiences and are said to be "the closest thing I've ever had to a journal or diary”. The three headlining acts join a line-up that includes; Iron and Wine, Passenger, Ward Thomas and double Grammy and AMA UK award winner Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit in a UK festival exclusive.

Gill Tee, from Black Deer Festival, said: "We’re so excited about the line-up for this our inaugural festival.

"It’s really causing great ripples across the music industry.

"Today’s announcement means when people come to Black Deer they are going to have a fantastic weekend of world-class music, great food and the nearest taste of Americana this side of Nashville and Tennessee."

Set over three days in Britain’s oldest deer park located on the Kent/East Sussex border near Tunbridge Wells, the family friendly event takes place from June 22-24.

Black Deer takes place from June 22-24, 2018

Adult weekend tickets start from £115 each and children (ages 6-17) from £45 each
